In today's episode Kristy will help us understand doable ways we can all reduce sodium in our diets.She leads the Sodium Reduction in Communities Program, working with communities across the U.S. to increase access to and availability of healthier food, including lower-sodium item and I am so excited to have her on the podcast today.
Kristy Mugavero, RN, MSN, MPH is a Public Health Analyst in the Division for Heart Disease and Stroke Prevention at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Previously, Kristy worked in the Policy Office of the National Center for Chronic Disease Prevention and Health Promotion, where she focused on cardiovascular health, adolescent and school health, obesity and physical activity. Prior to joining CDC, Kristy served as a registered nurse in a post-cardiovascular surgical unit. She received a master’s degree in nursing and public health in 2006 and is the proud mother of a one-year-old daughter.
